Greece, Piraeus Archaeological Museum - Eagle from a grave monument. The eagle with outspread wings turns its head towards a party preserved snake rearing up threateningly. The right wing of the eagle and the upper part of the snake were separately attached. The motif is a known omen; hence the sculpture probably derives from the grave of a seer. (End of the 4th century BC)
