Terracina (206 pictures, 4 videos)
The Roman town of Terracina (former Anxur) is located between the promontory of Cicero and the cape of Gaeta. The Acropolis featured large temples on a terrace. The vaults supporting the terrace are still visible, while the temples were destroyed. The present day Cathedral was built on the Temple of Rome and Augustus, part of the side wall of which, with engaged columns, is still visible. Other Roman ruins include several temples and aqueducts, two thermal baths and an amphitheater.
