Lato is located 11 km northeast to Krista. The town was built probably in 7th century BC. The archaic remains consist of three potters' kilns found near the temple and dated from 750 to 625 BC. The 4th-2nd centuries BC are the main period of occupation at Lato. This is the period from which the surviving buildings are dated. These include the Temple of Eileithyia, the Prytaneion, the theatrical area and the Agora.
