Biblical Sites in Israel - Beth Shean (Scythopolis) (50 pictures)

Beth Shean, one of the earliest settlements in Israel, lies to the west of the Jordan River. It is mentioned in the Bible as being in the territory assigned to half the tribe of Manasseh (1 Chronicles 7:29), which failed to conquer it, and as the place where the bodies of King Saul and his sons were mutulated after the Israelite defeat to the Philistines (1 Samuel 31:12). The city turned later into a Greek and then Roman colony by the name of "Scythopolis".

This CD contains 50 selected Royalty Free images of the archaeological finds in Beth Shean. This is one in a series of Sites & Photos' CDs dedicated to Biblical sites.
