Sikyon (116 pictures, 5 videos)
The city of Sikyon prospered under the rule of Ortagordis (7th-6th centuries BC) and rose to a prominence in the Hellenistic period (4th-1st centuries BC). A 6th century BC wooden votive tablet representing a sacrificial scene was found in the area. The theater is located on the slopes of the Hellenistic acropolis, to the west of the ancient agora. Near the Roman Bath there is a temple from time of the foundation of Hellenistic Sikyon. A gymnasium was also found.
