Arsameia (35 pictures)
Arsameia ad Nymphais is located in Eski Kale (Eski Kahta) on the Nymphaios Creek (Kahta Cayi). Here were found the longest inscriptions in Anatolia, according to which Arsameia was founded at the beginning of the 2nd century BC and was the summer capital and administrative center of the Kingdom. On the platform over the hill are a monument and the palace of Mithridates I. Excavations revealed numerous statue remains, including those of a queen and the head of Antiochus.
