The archaeological site is about 4km south of present day's Altinyayla, on a hill overlooking a small plain. The ruins are scattered over two hills and along the stream running under the acropolis. Many sarcophagi are found in the northwestern section of the site. The wall surrounding the summit is of late date and made of reused material. A small theater stands on the hill below the acropolis.
