Paestum (Poseidonia) - Temple 'of Neptune' (Temple of Hera II) (57 pictures)

The best preserved of the temples of Magna Graetia is the Temple 'of Neptune', so called because it seemed logical that the most imposing temple in the city had been dedicated to the god for whom the city was dedicated - Poseidon (Neptune). Today the temple is thought to have been dedicated to Apollo, Zeus or Hera, and it is also known by the name "Temple of Hera II".
