The ancient city lies near the modern village of Dali. It consisted of two acropolises and a lower town. Excavations have shown that it was inhabited towards the end of the Late Bronze Age (1560-1150 BC). Very few monuments survived, the principal one being the Temple of Athena on the summit of the western acropolis. Of the Sanctuaries of Aphrodite and of Apollo nothing is to be seen. In the necropolis only one tomb can now be viewed.
