Priene is situated to the west of Gullubahce village, 15km from Soke. The Temple of Athena in Priene was built in the middle of the 4th century BC, while the Temple of Zeus Olympius is from the 3rd century BC. The theater was built in the Hellenistic period, although some additions were made in the Roman period. Other structures found are a bouleuterion (150 BC) and two gymnasiums.
