Side (287 pictures, 10 videos)

According to Strabo, Side was first settled in the 7th century BC. It was an excellent port and trade flourished. Despite several earthquakes, Side has preserved the majority of its buildings, including a nymphaeum and a street from the 2nd century BC, the temples of Apollo and Athena, the agora and the theater from the 2nd century AD, the fountain and pools of the 3rd century, and the Bishop's palace and basilica from the 5th or 6th century AD.
