Artemis (Roman: Diana) - Goddess of Hunting. In Greek mythology she was the daughter of Zeus and Leto, and twin sister to Apollo. Her worship was prevalent in Greek times. In Classical art she is usually wearing a short skirt, with a quiver of arrows and a bow, often in a shooting position. Deer and Cypress were sacred to Artemis.
