Manim (63 pictures)
In Genosar Valley, off the coast of the Sea of Galilee, traces of a large building are found. It was a palace which was probably built by the Khalif Walid I (8th century AD), a descendant of the Umaya dynasty. It was probably an agricultural mansion, which was fortified and well equipped for the ruler. During Mamluk times (13th-14th centuries) a large motel was built somewhat north of the palace (Hanot Manim), on the road from Tiberias to Damascus.
