Akev (Ramat Hanadiv) (45 pictures)
The name of the site refers to its location at the top of the ridge. The remains of a large Jewish mansion from the Second Temple period (536 BC – 70 AD) were revealed here. The mansion was arranged as a small town surrounded by walls that included all that was needed for the livelihood of its inhabitants. In Medieval times (10th - 14th centuries AD) transient settlers occupied the site, using its ruins as shelter.
