Close to the intersection of the two routes dividing the Galilee, near the modern settlement of Amiad, an Ottoman inn which goes by its Arabic name "Jib Yusuf Inn", can be found. During the Ottoman period commerce developed to the extent that inns were erected along the route in order to satisfy the growing needs of the merchants and travelers.
