On a crossroad a little to the north of Mt. Tavor, the remnants of two large buildings can be found. Historical sources place the later building at 15th century AD. It was an inn (Arabic: "Khan") for travelers on the road from Damascus to the Mediterranean coast. The second building possibly dates back to between the 8th and the 10th centuries AD. It was already in a dilapidated state when the "Khan" was in active use.
