Garden Tomb (24 pictures, 1 videos)
The Garden Tomb, to the north of the Damascus Gate outside the Old City of Jerusalem, is believed by many Christians to be the garden and sepulcher of Jeseph of Arimathea, and therefore a possible site of the burial and resurrection of Jesus (Matt, 27:59-60, John 19:41-42). The Garden was identified by General Charles Gordon in 1884, therefore it is also known as "Gordon's Calvary". It is owned and administered by The Garden Tomb (Jerusalem) Association, a Charitable Trust based in the United Kingdom. The Hill of The Skull is nearby.
