Letoon (205 pictures, 3 videos)
The site is located near the village of Bozoluk. Letoon was the sacred cult center of Lycia. We can trace settlement at Letoon as far back as the 7th century BC. The site contains three temples placed side by side. The first was dedicated to Leto and constructed towards the end of the 5th century BC. To either side of this temple are two smaller temples dedicated to Apollo and Artemis. A theater and a nymphaeum were also found here. Together with the neighboring site of Xanthos, Letoon was declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1988.
