Baiae (175 pictures, 8 videos)

Baia is located north-west of Naples. A long series of earthquakes led to the slow submersion of the coast and of many Roman buildings. The city was finally devastated by an earthquake in the 16th century AD. Among the finds in the site are the "Villa dell' Ambulatio", the Temple of Venus, several houses, the water canals, the Mercurio baths and the Sosandra Complex.
