Santu Antine Nuraghe (92 pictures)

Santu Antine is situated near Torralba, about 50 km from Sassari. It is the most beautiful and surely one of the most imposing prehistoric buildings known as 'nuraghi' (1,500-500 BC). The nuraghe are better known under the popular name of Sa Domo de su Re – the 'House of the King', the Nuragic royal palace. It is surrounded by about ten minor nuraghi, one of the nearest and most important being the Nuraghe Oes at Giave in the southeast.
