Eraclea Minoa (49 pictures)

The archaeological site is 50km from Agrigento. Most of the remains date from the 4th century BC. The city was a colony of Selinunte from the 6th century BC. It became a Roman city and was repopulated by Consul Publius Rupilius in 131 BC, and was abandoned in the 1st century AD. The remains include a theater and some structures. There is also a museum in the site.
