Phaistos (Crete) (144 pictures)

The site flourished between 1900-1700 BC. Excavation has unearthed most of the second palace and important sections of the first. Other interesting findings are the theater square, called so because of the eight long tiers on its northern side, the propylaia, the cult chambers and the storerooms.
