The ruins of Kameiros lie on the west coast of Rhodes. Most of the surviving remains date from the town-planning project at the end of the 3rd century BC. The Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios, known as the Hyerotytheion, is enclosed within a colonnaded courtyard featuring other shrines, exedrae and a monumental 4th century BC fountain. A stoa leads to the Archaic and Classical Sanctuary of Athena Kameiras.
