Phileremos-Ialyssos (Rhodes) (59 pictures)

The site is known from Minoan and Mycenean times. The settlements were scattered in the surrounding hills. The remains of the Doric Temple of Athena Polias date from the 3rd or 2nd century BC, but the local cult of the goddess was six or seven centuries older. On the south slope of Mt. Phileremos, near the top, is a reconstructed 4th century BC monumental Doric fountain.
