Euromos is located on the Izmir highway, 10km from Milas. This was an important city in ancient times after Mylasa. The Temple of Zeus at Euromos is among the half dozen best preserved monuments in Asia. It is in the Corinthian order and dates from the 2nd century AD. The theater is in a recess in the hillside a little above the plain. The agora on the flat ground is surrounded by a stoa with several columns still standing.
