Miletos is located near the village Balat of Yenihisar Township. Miletos was a coastal city with four harbors. The theater, built on a natural hillside, is one of the most important and most intact theaters in west Anatolya. It was first constructed in the 4th century BC and enlarged later. The site presents many Hellenistic and Roman structures, including a heroon, an agora and a bouleuterion (2nd century BC) and several Roman baths (1st-2nd centuries AD).
