The site is located above Andriace, on the road to Kas. The town was founded in the 4th century BC. Ancient writers believed that it accommodated one of Apollo's oracles. As in other Lycian cities, the town has an acropolis and to the east, there are tombs. The Temple of Apollo was built in a deep valley on the western side of the acropolis. Behind the temple there are ruins of a Byzantine church.
