The site was identified as the Jewish town Kfar Nahum. In the ruins area stands out of a huge structure that was identified as an ancient Jewish synagogue which was active at the end of the Roman and Byzantine times. The synagogue is one of the synagogues known for their architectural decorations, carved out of limestone. Columns and capitals were found in the site, as well as doorsteps and stone beams with flora decorations.
